From script to screen, we bring stories to life
About Us
Founded by Elaine Kennedy in 2014, Dingle Filmhouse Productions has produced several award-winning short films recognised both nationally and internationally. Based in the stunning coastal town of Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland — a location steeped in cinematic history — our work is inspired by the area’s natural beauty and creative spirit.
Dingle has long been a favourite of filmmakers, serving as the backdrop for classics such as Ryan’s Daughter, Star Wars, and Far and Away, starring Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise. Director Ron Howard described Dingle as a “magic” location and a source of great inspiration, referring to its landscape as both a “metaphor” and a “provider” that helped shape his film’s visual identity.
At Dingle Filmhouse Productions, we continue that tradition of storytelling by supporting both local and international productions filming in Kerry. We assist visiting crews by sourcing experienced local cast and crew, scouting and managing locations, and coordinating logistics to make filming in the region seamless. We can also guide projects from concept development through to post-production and final delivery.
Our mission is simple — to help filmmakers bring their stories to life amid one of Ireland’s most breathtaking and cinematic landscapes.
